Creating a financially inclusive economy through instant payment systems
Temenos and BankservAfrica invite you to an exclusive webinar on 19 May 2021 at 11:00am SAST.

Join our experts as they take you through the recently introduced instant payment system developed specifically for the SADC region, as well as dive into the value that payment modernisation and instant payments can bring to your organisation.
For African banks and financial institutions, banking the unbanked is a key priority, and to do this, an efficient system is important to have.

An efficient and effective system should:
• Support growth in the economy and aid financial inclusion
• Reduce friction in the movement of money
• Support the economy as it grows and changes
• Serve the needs of the population
BankservAfrica, in collaboration with the SADC Banking Association, have architected a cost-effective interoperable solution that caters for high volume day-to-day, low value cross border payments in real-time as a response to the SADC government’s requirement for a solution to support regional payments integration. The Transactions Cleared on an Immediate Basis (TCIB) scheme is an interoperable payments solution that enables instant cross border transfers between any two TCIB participants anywhere in SADC.

Our speakers are Mick Fennel, Business Line Director - Payments at Temenos, Arthur Cousins, SADC Payments Project Coordinator at BankservAfrica, and Francois Roode, Head: Africa Business Development at BankservAfrica. They will take you through TCIB, how it can benefit your organisation, and how it will assist you in reaching your financial goals, while providing tangible value to your customers and contributing to a better functioning economy.
